I recently saw Roger Waters play the whole of Dark Side Of The Moon played live at Hyde Park! It rocks just as much now as it did back in the day. This band is visionary, no one quite like them, no one will ever emulate what they did. No band has ever adapted theatrical themes into their style as much as Pink Floyd or had as much success. These guys got in the charts too, not bad for what is essentially a blues band playing with prog sensibilties! They're legends in my book.

Absolutely. They're truly progressive in that they did whatever they wanted and pushed boundaries as they did it. Whether is was the charmingly English take on west-coast psychedelic pop of Piper At The Gates of Dawn, or the moving, largely acoustic protest songs of The Final Cut, or the liquid soundscapes of The Division Bell, they have evolved immeasurably with each record whilst maintaining a sound that is unmistakably Floyd.
There will never be another Floyd because they never CAN be. What they discovered can only be discovered once.
