I know that I've already started a thread about this band on AMF, but since it's gone a bit quiet over there lately, I thought I'd start a new one here.
Septycal Gorge have become a recent addition to my "Bands that I'm obsessed by" list. Their debut album, "Growing Seeds Of Decay", is superb (I've written a review on the reviews board).
Biography
(courtesy of the official website)
Septycal Gorge hails from Italy, spreading massive brutal death metal in the vein of US gods like Suffocation, Deed Of Flesh, Disgorge, Dying Fetus.
The Band was formed on summer 2004 by Diego (gtr) and Mariano (vox), soon joined by Dave (drm). After lots of changes - 3 bassist (Alex, Giampaolo, Damien) and a guitarist (Marco) had to leave - line up has finally gains stability with the arrival of Dario (gtr) and Maurizio (bas).
All the changes couldn't stop band's activity which consisted in furious live gigs in Northern Italy with acts such Mortuary Drape, Vomit The Soul, Faust, Wargore and in concepting the first sudio work named "Delivering Hidden Mutilation", a 4 tracks promo CD-r recorded on august 2005 in Alpha Omega Studios (Como, Italy) and used to reach the attention of underground deathmetal labels and 'zines.
Now the band is working on new songs that will be part of the full lenght album we're going to record next spring - it will be released by the sick Czech based label Mutilated Records. Expect nothing but killer brutality.
