The Ultimate Death Metal CD

What would you put on a CD to introduce people to the wonderful world of Death Metal?

Which bands? Which tracks? I think we're looking at around 18 tracks...

I would say Obituary's "Anthology" would suffice, but that would be cheating... and lots of people would disagree with me! Razz

Meh... I dunno... That's almost as bad as my Obituary suggestion! lol

I think one Death track should definitely be included, but Death Metal incorporates so many sub-sub-genres that it would be good to try and cover as many of those as possible...

Obituary - Corrosive
Death - Defensive Personalities
Suffocation - Habitual Infame
Deicide - Once Upon The Cross
Intestin Baalism - Tyrant
Torture Killer - Forever Dead
Six Feet Under - When Skin Turns Blue

*thinks*

Maybe some Spawn Of Possession too... I would pick something from "Cabinet" since more people know it, but "Noctambulant" is amazing.
If I was to pick something from "Noctambulant" I'd pick "Sour Flow" - Awesome stuff!

We'd need some Morbid Angel too... Any suggestions?

I dont know if its considered Death Metal, but id say, put Cradle of filth's Guilded Cunt it for a bit of a comical addition to the CD
