Yes, already!
They've announced a few bands already and so far i'm fairly impressed. No way i can miss this festival this time.
www.wacken.com
Bands so far:
Blind Guardian
Grave Digger
Immortal
In Flames
Samael
Saxon
Schandmaul
Stratovarius
Therion
They've got a special package for people who buy tickets before Christmas which includes some other goodies, but they've only got 10,000 of these and they're already half gone.
Early days i know, but i think it's gotta be done.

I'm not overly impressed so far... and if I go abroad for a festival next year I'm planning to go to the Czech Republic.
Bandwise it's not a bad list, but there's no one on there that makes me feel like I must buy a ticket..... and I really don't like Stratovarius
Immortal could be interesting though. _________________ No Sleep... 'til Bedtime!

I think Immortal could be interesting...
I saw In Flames play 40 minutes at Download and they were fantastic, so i'd go for them. I expect it'll be another good line-up though. I'll buy a ticket when i can. _________________

I think it's pretty good going to be announcing bands this early...
Obviously it's all about advance ticket sales but last year's festival was completely sold out so they're obviously not that desperate to sell tickets...
Have to wait till January or February to hear about Download etc. Not so impressive. _________________

Yes, it is pretty good... but if the line-up doesn't appeal to me yet then there's no point in buying tickets. It's a bit of a gamble at the moment - it's more than likely that the final line-up will be amazing and therefore the special offer ticket price would be a bargain... but, on the otherhand, if no other bands that I really want to see are added then it's a waste of time and money.
Bloodstock are pretty poor when it comes to announcing bands - they've only just confirmed the whole line up for this year's indoor one... which is at the end of the month.
...but to be fair to 'em, they did organise 2 festivals this year!
I'M GOING TO BLOODSTOCK SOON! *happy Lou dance* _________________ No Sleep... 'til Bedtime!

True.
There's no point buying tickets on the assumption that the line-up will be great, particularly as foreign festivals are that bit harder to get to.
I would've loved to get to Bloodstock this year, and i'll be doing my utmost to see Omnium Gatherum in London anyway, but circumstances conspired against me. There's always next year. 2 festivals a year is a big job, and last minute announcements can be very exciting, so that's not all bad... _________________
