Iron Maiden are set to release a new album in the very near future, but which [in your opinion] was the best out of the last two studio albums they released? ...And why?

"Dance Of Death" vs "Brave New World"

Brave New World, without a doubt. Reasons? Out of the Silent Planet, Blood Brothers, The Wicker Man, Ghost of the Navigator, The Fallen Angel, how's about that for starters!

Dance of Death has got Age of Innocence & Montsegur which are both great, but the only thing on that LP that can compete with vintage Maiden is the majestic Paschendale. That's one of the best things they've done in years. But, overall, I think BNW's a much better record.

Agreed! 100%!

My favourite tracks from BNW have got to be "Blood Brothers", "The Navigator", "The Wicker Man" and "Out Of The Silent Planet"...

Funnily enough, I'm reading "Out Of The Silent Planet" at the moment!

Very Happy ~ Who's seen the video for it?

Raise your hand if you bought the CD single with the video on...

*raises hand and hopes she's not the only one*

I think I bought all the different singles. There was the one with the video, and the cool see-thru one with Futureal on.

Brave New World wins hands down. Wickerman was the obvious single, but you only have to listen to Dream of Mirrors to realise that it's Maiden at their best.*

Laughing

I still think the best track from BNW was "Blood Brothers"...

My favourite track on BNW . . . . . hmm . . . . . . It's a tie between Blood Brothers & . . . Silent Planet. Maybe Blood Brothers just pips it, as it's one of the few songs that can send a chill down my spine every time I hear it. The live version's amazing, with Bruce & Adrian's harmony vocals at the end.
