Gary Moore

This guy has a little bit of a classic rock background but hey I think his solo stuff should go in here! and nothing else is in this section yet so i'm gonna kick start it off with some GARY MOORE!!

Any fave songs peeps?

Mine are - The Loner, Still Got The Blues, Out In The Fields and Empty Rooms.
Loucifer

I like Gary Moore - although I prefer the rockier stuff to the bluesy stuff.

My favourite tracks are "Over The Hills and Far Way" and "Led Clones"... oh, and "After The War"... "This Thing Called Love" and "Blood Of Emeralds".

Can you tell that I like the "After The War" album? Laughing

Over the hills and far away is another one I quite like too! good stuff I say.

Indeed - Gary Moore is a legend! It's just a shame that the bluesy stuff doesn't really appeal to me.

Actually... It probably would if I gave it more of a chance...

Gary Moore

I like Gary Moore, but of course he was a protegee of Peter Green who is in my mind the greatest blues guitarist. He even gave Gary Moore his guitar and Gary still has it!

Thanks for joining Smile

Peter Green, eh? I can't say I'm familiar with him. Can you recommend some stuff?
Wardyboy

That would be early Fleetwood Mac!

Gary Moore taught me alot, raunchy feel baby! Bend the string make it sing! Not like bloody Kirk Hammett who sounds stale and like a whining cat!

*is now tempted to make a cat metal band*

Kirk Hammet may sound stale, but he must have a bit of cash... and my cats don't know what to do with money... they could give it all to ME!!!!
Wardyboy

That was so leftfield you maniac!
Loucifer

I'm sorry.... I went off into 'Louland' for a bit there....

I like it in Louland....

Peter Green wrote Black Magic Woman, and loads of Fleetwood Mac's early hits. He also did the best cover of "Need Your Love So Bad" I have ever heard, such a soulful voice, although Gary Moore did it well on "Blues for Greeny" on the very same guitar.
