HIM: Love 'em or Hate 'em?I was thinking during my journey into work this morning (dangerous, eh?) about how HIM are a bit of a Marmite band. You pretty much either love 'em or hate 'em.
So, with that in mind, I decided to make a poll entitled "HIM: Love 'em or Hate 'em?". I just thought that it might be interesting to find out why the people that love them do... and why the people that hate them do... and, hopefully, cure a bit of boredom.

I like HIM
I'm still in two minds about "Dark Light" (although there are some good tracks on it like "Crimson Door"), and the only song I like on "Love Metal" is "The Sacrament", aside from that yeah they're a good band. As wardyboy once put it, they are the goth Def Leppard

I'm in between. Mainly because i just don't listen to them at all any more, which is a fair indication that i don't like it that much. Having said that i don't hate them either...

Personally, I like 'em. I thought "Razorblade Romance" was a fantastic album... as was "Love Metal". Like Marky, I'm undecided about "Dark Light" - for me it's missing something, but I can't put my finger on what. I've seen them live twice and each time they've entertained the crowd excellently. Ville is quite the frontman.
I think the problem a lot of people have with them is the fact that they're popular and/or their fans. For some reason they seem to have been adopted by the emo or 'scene' kids (even though they're goth rock/metal) and this seems to upset a lot their original fans.
Ultimately I like a band because of the music - not because someone else does or does not like them.

They are soo Def Leppard!
But I do love them! nad you know why that is too! Because they have darn good songs! The only prob I sometimes have with them is their inconsistency, some pants songs here and there and their sound is a bit samey. I like "Circle Of Fear" personally from Love Metal!
